The primary role of the Large Loss Project Manager is to ensure operational excellence and expertise on designated projects, typically involving significant mitigation efforts exceeding $500K in value. From project inception to closure, the PM LL oversees all aspects, maintaining strong client relationships to uphold BlueTeam as the preferred choice for restoration services. With on-site operational and management responsibility, the PM LL coordinates the entire BlueTeam process, ensuring daily communication with both the project team and the client to deliver exceptional customer service. Additionally, the PM LL directly manages and directs all assigned project team members to ensure seamless project execution.


In your role, you will:

    Project Specification

    • Embrace a proactive approach, demonstrating a sense of urgency in all tasks undertaken.
    • Conduct thorough site assessments to accurately gauge damage extent, ascertain necessary scope of work, and identify required resources for each project.
    • Collaborate closely with Project Directors to aid in the development of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and oversee overall budget management.
    • Establish and manage critical path project schedules tailored to project and client requirements.
    • Promptly alert management to potential scope changes necessitating documentation via change orders.
    • Ensure that all project activities adhere to stringent safety and professional standards.
    • Validate and authorize progress and final completion of assigned team's work.
    • Guide and support a team of approximately 2-6 superintendents or other designated project personnel.
    • Coordinate and oversee labor crews numbering upwards of 100+ on assigned projects, including sourcing, onboarding, and management of third-party vendors.
    • Provide ongoing updates on project team travel progress and estimated time of arrival (ETA) to management and client representatives.
    • Develop daily production assignments for assigned teams.
    • Procure necessary supplies, tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for project tasks.
    • Facilitate daily morning briefings and evening debriefs with the team.
    • Assist the team in preparing paperwork and documentation for labor crew arrivals.
    • Ensure consistent and adequate supervision of labor crews.
    • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Uphold strict adherence to company policies and industry standards.
    • Mentor and train team members and labor crews in production, standards, and safety protocols.
    • Exceed safety and quality benchmarks, including PPE utilization.
    • Timely documentation of all work activities via the BlueTeam App, including field reports, equipment readings, moisture mapping, tick sheets, photographs, and detailed job journal notes.
    • Maintain project-specific records, such as daily demolition and progress maps, moisture maps, etc., both within and outside the BlueTeam App.
    • Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or injuries to management using incident reports within the BlueTeam App.
    • Ensure proper maintenance and return of equipment, tools, and supplies used in project tasks.
    • Track and communicate daily labor hours for reconciliation purposes.
    • Monitor equipment and supply inventory, communicating restocking needs to Project Directors and the Purchasing team.
    • Complete all final project paperwork and closure documentation, including uploading into the BlueTeam App.
    • Coordinate and document project demobilization to ensure smooth transition and readiness for subsequent projects.

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Maintain constant readiness for immediate 24/7 dispatch to projects.
    • Be prepared for deployment to out-of-state projects for extended durations.
    • Ensure prompt processing of weekly trackers and expense reports.
    • Support Logistics/Warehouse teams in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory, vehicles, and equipment for swift deployment.
    • Adhere to all company vehicle and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies.
    • Arrange and document travel bookings in compliance with company guidelines.
    • Maintain a professional appearance in line with BlueTeam standards.
    • Receive and carefully review project assignments.
    • Fulfill any additional duties and assignments as necessary.

    What youll need...

    • High School diploma or equivalent and at least seven (7) years of verifiable commercial restoration experience and/or training.
    • Must have extensive experience running large and complicated fires, water, and other types of disaster-related projects
    • Technological skills including internet, Microsoft Suite of products, industry related applications, etc.
    • IICRC certifications, including WRT, AMRT, FRST, ASD, Master Restorer, OCT, CDS RIA certifications, including CR
    • Ability to work a flexible on-call schedule
    • Ability to travel for extended periods of time
    • Management of demanding, complex projects
    • Must be a quick thinker and efficient problem solver
